Wilfred D. Samuels is Associate Professor of English and Ethnic Studies. He teaches courses in American literature, African American literature, and African American Culture. He is the founding and past president of the African American Literature and Culture Society and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Literature Association. His primary schoolarly interest is twentieth century African American literature (fiction). He is also the Director of the African American Studies Program and Acting Coordinator of the Ethnic Studies Program. (801/581-5206)
