Humanities Happy Hour

Can't wait? Sate your appetite for intellectual stimulation by visiting our podcast archives.
The College of Humanities is pleased to welcome our friends, faculty, alumni, and students to the seventh season of the Humanities Happy Hour, held every third Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Squatters Pub Brewery in downtown Salt Lake City.
Join us as one of our distinguished faculty presents an “intellectual hors d’oeuvre” – a ten-minute talk on a subject that is “timely, timeless, and provocative.” Intellectual hors d'oeuvres that have been offered in the past include, "Love and Strangeness," "Are we Blameworthy for What we Don't Know," and "A Celebrity Thought Experiment." Squatters graciously provides the more customary form of hors d'oeuvres, which are always delicious.
The Humanities Happy Hour serves as a reminder that intellectual engagement is interesting, innovative, and downright fun. Other benefits of membership include advanced notice for special lectures and subscriptions to the College's publications. Not to mention, your membership goes to support the many wonderful programs, professors, and students in the College of Humanities.
To become a member of the Humanities Happy Hour, please call 801.581.6214 or email at humanities@hum.utah.edu.
