B. Aubrey Fisher Lecture - Old Media, New Media by John D. Peters | The title of Professor Peters' address, Old Media, New Media, appears deceptively simple, but his remarks will traverse the social, political, economic, cultural, and human consequences of the new media through a deeper historical understanding of old media. If you are familiar with his award-winning works Courting the Abyss and Speaking into the Air, you know just how exciting his lecture promises to be. On Friday morning, Professor Peters will conduct an informal seminar on the topic, The Challenge of Recent German Media Theory.
Also, Peters will be holding an informal lecture Friday the 24th in the Reading Room at 10 a.m. open to all. He will be dicussing The Challenge of Recent German Media Theory.
