Bryan Wallis, EH Graduate

I'm currently starting my second year in the PhD program in English at the University of California, Davis. Over the past year I have been reading almost continually (of course), I was a TA for various courses on early American literature, and have been obsessively trying to learn ancient Greek. This year I'll be teaching writing, preparing for my preliminary exam in 20th century American literature, and continue to work on Greek. I recently presented a paper at a conference on criticism and religion and another at the literature and the environment (ASLE) conference. Amidst it all I have enjoyed spending time with my wonderful daughter Elizabeth who just turned one and going out with the department climbing group--the Ascendentalists.
