Keeping in Touch

We invite our friends and alumni to stay in touch with us and to join in our many philosophical activities. We would especially welcome you at Department Colloquia.

For our past graduates, we would love to know what you have been doing since you graduated from the Philosophy Department.  Please contact Shannon Borcherds with information you would like to share about your career and academic endeavors since you graduated.

Giving to the Department of Philosophy

The Philosophy Department welcomes gifts and contributions to support our efforts. Our current funding priorities include:

In addition to these broad priorities, the Philosophy Department is currently engaged in a funding drive for the contributions for the Whisner/Appleby scholarship fund in memory of our treasured colleagues, Bill Whisner and Peter Appleby. When the scholarship fund reaches $75,000, it will pay for two $1,500 scholarships each year for Philosophy undergraduate students at the University of Utah.

The department welcomes contributions, to the Whisner/Appleby fund and our other development funds. If you wish to make a contribution, please contact Steve Downes, Department Chair, or Liz Nagata, Department Administrative Assistant.
